Career

There is an excellent list of jobs that can be offered by taking mathematics and/or statistics compiled by AMSI found here. Some mailing lists post jobs so it is worth subscribing to it.

Mailing Lists

There are some number of statistical mailing lists that is worthwhile subscribing to (but best muted lest you are okay getting bombarded with gazillion notifications). People periodically post job advertisement to these mailing list as well. Here are some of my favorites:

Societies

Joining a society will gives you a chance to be involved with the community. Many societites give a heavily discounted fee or even free membership to students.

Teaching

I found Seeing Theory to be one of the most beautfiul visual teaching tools for statistics. This site was made by Daniel Kunin while he was an undergraduate student!
